In 1985 as a Childcare-trained NNEB Nursery Nurse and after a wonderful Nanny career in London (Chelsea, and Hampstead) I was government-licensed and inspected annually to run this caring and bespoke Evening Babysitter Agency.

Based in Bromley South London I have placed with a minimum of 2 weeks' notice hundreds of pleasant and reliable Childcare-Qualified and Childcare-work-experienced Babysitters.

We offer Babysitters a free service and Parents more peace of mind about whom they choose.

Finding a Babysitter cannot be rushed:

  • ​This is one of the biggest decisions a Parent can make to pass a precious Baby or Child (ren) across to a stranger.

  • Sadly we know of minor and serious issues that happened via online-only businesses such as Facebook, community social media forums, or childcare.co.uk/bubble because people are NOT spoken to, interviewed, or reference checked.

  • Such websites may offer appealing quick and even same-day Childcare and be free or cheap to use BUT if use your Child and home is put at risk.

  • Devious and dishonest people with varied motives advertise themselves so because unvetted it is easy to display a fake CV of Childcare work.​​

How our Service Works - we earn our total fee of just £75 as we do Face-to-Face Interviews (not via computer Zoom) and reference check every Childcarer introduced where we have been told they are reliable and pleasant and advise fair and correct evening duties and rates to charge and pay:

  • Monday to Thursday: £12 - £14 ph.

  • Friday, Saturday, and Sunday: £14 - £16 ph.

  • Evening rates start from 6.30 pm.

  • With a minimum 3-hour booking and thereafter paid by the 1/4 hour.

  • Most Babysitters agree with LMMs' view that the rate they charge has to be affordable for a Parent to budget with other costs on top i.e. restaurant, theatre. Most Parents go out on average twice a month.

  1. A Parent with a Evening Babysitting job vacancy completes a 5-minute registration form and then pays in advance the £75 fee.

  2. We place an anonymous advert on LMM Facebook (friend request to Debbie Masters Misses) and varied local to community social media forums.

  3. Childcarers interested in an advertised job vacancy telephone us to apply. We check their suitability and use the answers in the Parent form that takes just 5 minutes to complete plus email and voice discussions to briefly explain the role. 

  4. We telephone a Parent to introduce if we believe a Childcarer may suit a family and rate within the Parent confided to us maximum Gross budget to explain their Childcare work experience and the minimum hourly rate they seek to decide if they want to interview.

  5. The £99 fee includes 2 free CV Reports that we email with that Babysitter's permission. This states the Babysitters:

  • Telephone number - for a Parent to contact directly within 24 hours to arrange within 3 days the time of their 40-minute Interview and give their home address to meet the Children before caring for them. 

  • We state a Yes / No / Applied against each Childcare employment job of which references LMM has checked.

  • During the interview - discuss the duties and Gross rate as contract agreements are made solely between a Parent and Childcarer.

  • After all interviews - please email LMM whether progressing them (or not) to be your family Babysitter with the agreed gross hourly rate pay so we can check if they are truly happy to accept or let them know you are not offering the work. There is no further placement fee.

 

​After receiving 2 free CV Reports thereafter if a Parent wants to interview more candidates there is a £25 fee for each further CV Report. We retain a number record of each Babysitter's CV Report we email a Parent so if for any reason they do not receive 2 free CV Reports if they return within 6 months the above service terms with no registration fee are in place again. After the 6 months, the £99 fee again is payable.

Babysitters - below we also anonymously advertise you for Parents to view and to match you well from the start state the:

 

  • Midweek days, start, finish times, and approx number of Saturdays pmth you ideally seek.

  • Last year we face-to-face interviewed you.

  • The number of years worked in Childcare which determines the rate we advise you to charge.

We were Beckenham High St office-based for 17 years until after the pandemic and before for 20 years in a Croydon shop (I bought) where in 1998 I started varied training/ talks such as working as a Nanny, meningitis and British Red Cross First Aid Nanny only Courses. Annually I hired Beckenham Civic Hall for Nannies and the Children they cared for to do a Nanny Christmas Cake Afternoon and did a Summer Teddy Bear Picnic in Kelsey Park Beckenham.​ 2024 for me is about helping Parents with a low-cost Nanny Service so they do not feel their only option is the internet. Unusual for a 38-year Employment Agency business we are more interested in having jobs to offer our Babysitters who do not enjoy or feel safe online connecting with strangers either and not in charging Parents we place with high fees.
